Servers, hosting and DevOps

The part you don’t see.
But it holds everything up.

We set up and manage the Linux servers that run sites, shops and web apps. Automated deploys, staging environments, monitoring, backups and hosting migrations: the DevOps side that makes everything else work.

  • Docker
  • NGINX
  • Git
  • Cloudflare
What we do

From the server
to the deploy.

  1. 01

    Server setup and management.

Linux servers prepared for the project: web server, PHP or Node, database, firewall, certificates. Then kept up to date, because you set up a server once but look after it for good.

    • Linux
    • Nginx
    • PHP
    • Node
  2. 02

    Managed hosting.

We can host sites and shops on our servers, with up-to-date specs. We handle everything underneath, and you have a single point of contact.

    • Hosting
    • Yearly plan
  3. 03

    Automated deploys.

Code goes live from git, the same way every time, with no copying files over FTP. Fewer mistakes, and if something goes wrong we roll back to the previous version.

    • Git
    • CI/CD
    • Rollback
  4. 04

    Staging environments.

A copy of the site to test changes and updates before taking them live. You and your team can see it and sign it off.

    • Staging
    • Testing
  5. 05

    Monitoring and backups.

We check that the site responds, the disk isn’t filling up and resources are enough. Regular backups, stored elsewhere and verified.

    • Monitoring
    • Backups

Hosting migrations

Changing hosting.
Without switching anything off.

A well-done migration goes unnoticed. That’s why we prepare it in advance.

  1. 01

    Analysis.

What runs on the old server: sites, databases, cron jobs, certificates, versions. Nothing gets left behind.

  2. 02

    Copy and test.

We prepare the new server and copy everything over. We test the site at the new address before moving the domain.

  3. 03

    Switchover.

We move the domain at the quietest time, sync the last data and keep an eye on the site in the hours that follow.

Why us

Those who write the code
know the server too.

When development and infrastructure sit with different people, problems often fall in between.

Usually

  • The host says it’s the site’s fault
  • The developer says it’s the host’s fault
  • Updates done by hand, in a hurry
  • Nobody knows where the backups are

With us

  • One point of contact, from code to machine
  • Repeatable deploys, always the same
  • Staging to test first
  • Documented backups and access
FAQ

Questions about
servers and hosting.

What’s the difference between shared hosting and a dedicated server?

On shared hosting your site shares resources with many others, and if one of them overdoes it you slow down too. A dedicated or virtual server has reserved resources and can be configured for the project. For a brochure site shared hosting may be enough; for shops and web apps usually not.

Can you migrate my site to new hosting?

Yes. We prepare the new server, copy the site and database, test everything and only then move the domain. The goal is for visitors not to notice.

What is a staging environment for?

It’s a private copy of the site where updates and changes are tested. If something breaks, it breaks there and not on the site your customers use.

What does automated deploy mean?

It means code goes live with the same procedure every time, from the git repository, instead of uploading files by hand. It’s faster, keeps track of every version and lets you roll back in a moment.

Do you manage servers you didn’t set up?

Yes, after a review: we look at the operating system, services, versions, access and backups. We tell you what needs fixing and then take it over.

Do you host web apps and Node projects too?

Yes. Besides PHP sites like WordPress and PrestaShop, we run Node and Next.js applications with databases like Postgres and MySQL.
