A written quote.
Before we start you know what we’ll do, how long it takes and what it costs. If something isn’t defined yet, we say so instead of guessing.

You see it first.
Changes go to a test environment first. Only what you’ve seen and approved reaches the live site.

Everything in one place.
The client area holds projects, requests, documents and invoices. No email threads to piece together.

We stay on after.
Maintenance, updates, servers: if you like, we look after the live project for years.

Where is Ortica based?
In and around Padua, Italy: Riccardo works from Padua, Davide from Arsego, in San Giorgio delle Pertiche. We work remotely and we’re used to running projects over calls with clients a long way from us: calls, the client area and test environments are enough. If you’re nearby, we’re happy to meet in person.
Are you an agency or two freelancers?
We’re two freelancers under one brand, Ortica. We split the work like an agency and work together on the same projects, as if we were one company. We’re both on Italy’s flat-rate tax scheme (regime forfettario), so our invoices carry no Italian VAT. If you’re a business in another EU country, you account for VAT in your own country under the reverse charge, as with other business services within the EU. Outside the EU, Italian VAT doesn’t apply.
Who do I talk to during a project?
The two of us. No account managers or salespeople in between: the person who answers is the person working on your project.
Do you work for agencies too?
Yes, about 70% of our projects are for agencies, white label. There’s a page for agencies explaining how it works.
Why do you show so few projects?
Because much of our work carries the name of the agencies we work with, and stays theirs. The Work page has the projects we can show; we’re happy to walk you through examples closer to your project on a call.
